Acts of the Apostates

The Acts of the Apostates 19:25 - 28
And Schaap said, brethren, ye know that by our Nicolaitan craft of correcting the King James Bible with pagan Greek definitions we have our wealth and power. All over ye see and hear that not only at HAC and BJU, but almost throughout the whole world this Riplinger and Ruckman and Grady and Gipp hath persuaded and turned many back to believing the King James Bible is the inspired and perfect word of God and that we be not the gods of interpretation. And not only that, but now Greekspeak and Nicolaitanism is in danger to be set at nought, and the Greek Texts should be despised which all the Catholics, Evangelicals and most Fundamentalists worship. And the Schaapettes were filled with wrath and with one shrill voice cried out, "Great are our Greek and Hebrew study tools!"

Jesus is the Amen: An English Nugget

In Revelation 3:14 the Lord Jesus, speaking to the church of the Laodiceans says: "These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness..."  The word Amen means true or faithful.  Jesus IS the Amen because he IS the truth (John 14:6), and he IS the faithful witness (Rev 1:5, 3:14).

Also notice this verse appears as the opening to the Lord's epistle to the church of the Laodiceans.  This is the church that is "lukewarm."  This is the church that takes the Lord Jesus out of his own church: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

It is no irony that it is in this final church age that we see the bible perversions mounting higher than Mount Everest.  And in a touching note, following the heretics Wescott & Hort, the modern perversions produced in the last days of the church have removed the Amen, the Lord Jesus Christ, from the last verse of the book that prophesies of the times of their operation: 2 Timothy 4:22.

KJV: The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
NIV: The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
NIV 2011: The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you all.
ASV: The Lord be with thy spirit. Grace be with you.
ESV: The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
HCSB: The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you!
NASV: The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
RSV: The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
NRSV: The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
MSG: God be with you. Grace be with you.

Sola Ecclesia

It's funny to hear silly papists puke about protestants and Baptists belief in the scriptures alone or Sola Scriptura.  of course they say this because "The Church" is always right and never contradicts itself right?  Ha!  Only in a fantasy land where transubstantiation is actually true and Catholicism is Christian.  I mean, antichrists, uh..I mean popes never dig up their predecessor, put them on trial and condemn as a heretick: do they?  Funny you should ask: they do!

On Textual Critcs & Criticism...Pastor Knox

This quote about the irony of textual criticism and the Nicolaitans that practice it is from Pastor James Knox.  I think you'll find it funny, ironic, and true.

"How odd that a man and his friends sit upon antique furniture in a study surrounded by a collection of old books, listen to classic music which is hundreds of years out of date, play "the sport of kings" on great-grandfather's chess board and criticize the Holy Bible (AV) because it contains a dozen old words which are no longer in common speech!!"

What's Wrong with Christianity Today?

This is not a reference to the magazine although we could talk about that later.  Nevertheless, what is wrong with today's brand of Christianity?  The answer is simple and Paul tells us in 2 Thess 2:3 and calls it "a falling away."  But falling away from what?  Paul explains in 2 Timothy 4 in further detail: 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. And Peter as well in 2 Peter 1:16:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables... They have fallen away from the truth of the word of God (John 17:17) unto the fables of the world.  Because they have not known this truth either because they are not really saved or because of false teaching they have followed brands of Christianity that are based upon vain and cunningly devised fables.   So what does this have to do with modern Christianity?  Modern Christianity has "married (Pergamos)" pop culture and politics and the world (1 John 2:15) while famous and influential "Christians" are often quoted in the media as the "voice" or one of the voices of Christianity.  That being said, the world's most famous soccer mom, Sarah Palin-a professing kingdom building Christian, recently told Barbara Walters,"When I want divine inspiration, I turn to C.S. Lewis."  Sarah Palin only stated what is common in professing Christianity today: "We don't want to truth of the word of God, we want to learn about him in the Chronicles of Narnia"; a fable.  The really sad about about this entire comment is that most "Christians" today are so void of the truth that they actually think C.S. Lewis was a Christian.  Pastor Mike Hoggard had an excellent piece in a recent video about the Christian credentials of C.S. Lewis.  Before you watch it ask yourself: just who is that lion in his story?  2011 needs to be the year that we Bible believing Christians, with the help of God, do our diligence to return unsuspecting Christians (and unsaved persons) from the fables-Popery, ecumenicism, multiple gnostic translations, evolution, Calvinism, etc.-and [back] to the truth of the holy scriptures. Amen.

Sola Scriptura!

Sola Scriptura!  So many protestant and Baptist groups proclaim this as one of their battle cry's.  Yet is that what they really mean?  Are Lutheran's lying when they say they hold to the 5 Sola's of the reformation and still baptize babies?  The problem and error of Sola Scriptura, 1/5 the protestant battle cry, is not the scripture, but of man's private interpretation or disobedience to the scriptures and not holding to them as a final authority.  This is how we have such heresies in non-Catholic "Christianity" such as Calvinism/Augustinism, Covenant Theology, Bible agnosticism, real presence, amillenialism, and tongue speaking.  This cartoon is what they really mean.

Revelation 17 with Visual

1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither ; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication , and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written , MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel ? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that thou sawest was , and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder , whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was , and is not, and yet is . 9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth . 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen , and one is , and the other is not yet come ; and when he cometh , he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was , and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. 12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest , where the whore sitteth , are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree , and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled . 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Beware "Christian" Bookstores

What's wrong with Christian bookstores these days?  Well first and foremost, there is more heresy and blasphemy in them than in your local First Church of Satan.  There are so many things moving into the church these days, which was begun by watered down music and bible perversions, and one of the more popular ones coming through the emergent church is ancient mysticism in the form of Loyola's labyrinth and contemplative prayer.  Don't believe me?  Check out this book that can be found in my local "Christian" bookstore.

1 Peter 2:24-25

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.  The grass withereth and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth forever.  And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

A Watch and A Bible

There is an old saying I heard years ago that says, "A man with a watch knows what time it is.  A man with two watches is never sure."

So what does this have to do with the Holy Bible?  Everything.  You see, apostates teach that there is no infallible, inspired, preserved copy of the word of God available on the planet today.  They teach you need to read multiple versions and somewhere in between you will find the meaning.  But to any clear thinking person on planet Earth with the brains of a gnat can see, the aforementioned statement is sheer stupidity when you take into account that one of the lies told by these same men are that all the versions really say the same thing.  If they all really say the same thing why do I need to read more than one version?  Why not just read one version over and over?  If you have a watch with the correct time (as the modern version apostates use the King James Bible as the standard for their classic "no doctrines are changed" lie) why do I need to wear a second one, or a third, etc.?

You see if you wear more than one watch, both with different times, there will come an instance when you need a definitive answer as to the time.  So what must you do?  You must go ask a person; making, by default, a man the final authority.  Isn't that the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, the thing our Lord hates?

The conclusion of the matter is this: get yourself a watch that is known to have the correct time and discern the times and seasons by it; not by the pawn shop dealers trying to sell you a knock-off that isn't even ticking.  Amen.

A Quote from C.H. Spurgeon

"It is the bounden duty of every Christian to pray against Antichrist, and as to what Antichrist is no sane man ought to raise a question. If it be not the Popery in the Church of Rome there is nothing in the world that can be called by that name. It wounds Christ, robs Christ of His glory, puts sacramental efficacy in the place of His atonement, and lifts a piece of bread in the place of the Saviour....If we pray against it, because it is against Him, we shall love the persons though we hate their errors; we shall love their souls, though we loathe and detest their dogmas...."

One True Church & Scripture: A Reminder

It is comical, but really sad that most Catholics believe that they are in the church that Jesus founded upon Peter and that its teaching have never changed.  It is even worse when they try to defend their position and Popish dogmas with Scripture.  As Baptists, we know how Rome really feels about the Bible and the lengths they have gone to remove the Scriptures from bible believers through the ages.  But most Catholics don't understand their "church" did the same thing to them; just without the term "heretic" attached to them and without be-headings and martyrdom at the stake.  So here is a reminder to Catholic persons that enjoy reading and debating Scripture today (even though they use a corrupt version).  Session XXV: Rule IV of the Ten Rules Concerning Prohibited Books Drawn Up by The Fathers Chosen by the Council of Trent and Approved by Pope Pius: Since it is clear from experience that if the Sacred Books are permitted everywhere and without discrimination in the vernacular, there will by reason of the boldness of men arise therefrom more harm than good, the matter is in this respect left to the judgment of the bishop or inquisitor, who may with the advice of the pastor or confessor permit the reading of the Sacred Books translated into the vernacular by Catholic authors to those who they know will derive from such reading no harm but rather an increase of faith and piety, which permission they must have in writing. Those, however, who presume to read or possess them without such permission may not receive absolution from their sins till they have handed over to the ordinary. Bookdealers who sell or in any way supply Bibles written in the vernacular to anyone who has not this permission, shall lose the price of the books, which is to be applied by the bishop to pious purposes, and in keeping with the nature of the crime they shall be subject to other penalties which are left to the judgment of the same bishop. Regulars who have not the permission of their superiors may not read or purchase them. H. J. Schroeder, Canons and Decrees of the Council of Trent: Original Text with English Translation (St. Louis: B. Herder Book Co., 1955), p. 274-75.

Paula White, Benny Hinn & 2 Peter 2

Modern day false prophets, hirelings
2 Peter 2 came to my mind when I heard about this and saw the picture:

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.    14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray , following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.   But what is even more ironic, or maybe not, is that this meeting happened in Rome.  Of course we know Rome is at the heart of the ecumenical movement and Paula and Benny, besides being false prophets, are supporters of the ecumenical movement.  Should there meeting really be the lead story?  Maybe it should be the place and who they were really there to see.  A woman is not a mother unless she has children (Rev. 17:5 ) and it is becoming clearer who the children of harlot the "church" are.  2 Peter 2:22"But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."
