Thoughts on 9/11 and Revelation 9:11

"And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit,
whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue
hath his name Apollyon."
Rev. 9:11

There is no question we Americans all remember where we were and what we were doing when Satan's minions flew planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and some brave patriots thwarted another another plane.  Although the self-serving media claims we need to understand this people and dialouge with them to understand their feelings and why they did this, the truth is God through his word tells us why this happens.

Since the beginning God has given man a choice: the tree of life or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; the LORD or Baal; Jesus or Barabbas; Christ or Antichrist.  And the Muslim peoples have made their choice as prophesied in Genesis 16 and that choice is not the Lord Jesus Christ.  By not choosing the Lord, they have chose Baal; they have chosen Barabbas; they have chosen Antichrist as their leader.

They have chosen themselves a king which has transformed himself into an angel of light (2 Cor 11:14), preaching another gospel (Gal 1:8), and promising things which he cannot bring to pass (Gen 3:4-5).  They have chosen themselves a king that is the angel of the bottomless pit (Isa 14:15, Rev 20:1-3), that is leading them into destruction because he has blinded their minds (2 Cor 4:4).

But, beloved, lest we think we are above reproach, we too were once just as blind as they.  Let's not forget, that but by the grace of God we could be in their shoes, still following and ignorantly worshiping the unknown god (Acts 17:23 - Allah is not a name, it simply means God).  Let us be ready to preach the word (2 Tim 4:2) to these lost souls, with all longsuffering and pray that the Holy Ghost will lead them into the truth and into His marvelous light as we have been called. Amen.
